Think scenic mountain roads, emerald rivers, waterfalls, historic Ottoman towns, powerful war history and some of the friendliest people you will meet while traveling in Europe.

I visited Bosnia and Herzegovina during my Balkan road trip itinerary and honestly, I did not have many expectations. I just crossed the border by car and started exploring. Looking back, that was the best way to travel in Bosnia and Herzegovina, because the country surprised me from the very first day.
