In most cases, buying a local prepaid SIM card in Mexico means getting a physical SIM card, although some official Telcel stores may also be able to provide an eSIM.

To be honest, I expected local Telcel prepaid SIM cards to be a little cheaper. When you compare them with an Airalo eSIM for Mexico, the difference is not as big as many people think.
